Welcome to our little corner of creative rebellion.

This store brings together the art of my beloved son, Yeethan, and my own feminist artwork, two creative voices connected by love, individuality, and a belief that art can challenge the world around us.

Yeethan is no longer here, but his art is.

His work carries his imagination, his perspective, his humour, his creativity and pieces of a life that mattered deeply. Sharing his artwork allows his creative voice to continue travelling into the world to be seen, appreciated and remembered. Every time one of his pieces finds a new home, something of Yeethan's imagination continues its journey.

Alongside his work is my own art, created from a fiercely feminist perspective.

I create art about women: our strength, anger, tenderness, sexuality, intelligence, resilience, contradictions and freedom. I am interested in challenging the stories women have inherited about who we are supposed to be, how much space we are allowed to occupy, how loudly we are permitted to speak, and whose version of womanhood gets represented.

For generations, art has helped shape the way society sees women. I believe art can also help change the way society sees women.

I don't believe art exists only to decorate walls;
Art can question.
Art can provoke.
Art can remember.
Art can start conversations.
Art can challenge what we have been taught to accept.

This store exists at the intersection of love, loss, feminism, queerness, and creative resistance. It honours an extraordinary son whose creativity deserves to remain in the world, while also looking forward toward the world I want women and future generations to inherit.

Yeethan and I cannot change the world in the same way anymore, but our art can still exist beside each other.

If something here makes you think, feel, laugh, cry, question, remember, or see the world slightly differently, then the artwork has already begun doing what we hoped it would do.

We believe that there will be no gender equality without racial equality, queer equality, and climate justice. At Feminist Mystique, we want to change the world and make a difference, even if it is 1 poster at a time.
